Community Guidelines
RankMyGame is built on trust. These guidelines keep the platform fair for everyone — players, reviewers, and developers alike.
1. Be Respectful
Treat every community member with respect. Disagree with ideas, not people. Harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, and discrimination have no place here.
2. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Do not post spam, unsolicited advertisements, or excessive self-promotion. Developers may share their own games through proper submission channels.
3. Honest Reviews Only
Write genuine reviews based on your real experience. Fake reviews, paid reviews without disclosure, and review bombing undermine the community and will be removed. Reviews must not contain defamatory, libelous, or knowingly false statements about developers, publishers, or other users.
4. No Vote Manipulation
Do not use bots, multiple accounts, or coordinated campaigns to inflate or deflate votes. Every vote must represent one real person's honest opinion.
5. Report Violations
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the report button. Our moderation team reviews every report and takes action when needed.
6. Content Standards
All content must be legal and appropriate. No pirated game links, no NSFW content outside of marked sections, and no doxxing or sharing of private information.
Enforcement
Violations are handled with a graduated response: warning, temporary suspension, then permanent ban for repeat offenders. Severe violations (hate speech, doxxing, illegal content) may result in immediate permanent bans.
All moderation decisions can be appealed by contacting our support team.
